TKES NO CHANCES - CHECK OUT HANNAH GADSBY SPECIAL

Would not recommend. You can't help but laugh at Ellen's jokes- she still has a way of taking small observations and stringing them into a running joke. Ellen tried to bring some meaning into the evening by taking about everything she lost when she came out. But that was 20 years ago! Ellen didn't break any new ground, and drew heavily, at times directly, from her old routines. Has she learned nothing in the past 20 years? Is there nothing going on today that she could use to build a little more meaningful observation? Ellen seemed to rely on fan goodwill, and the fans delivered lots of love. But in retrospect the show's theme of how rich yet relatable she is seemed lazy and shallow. The Hannah Gadsby special literally changed the way I relate to people. That is a level of honesty and reflection that represents the best kind of humor. Check it out.

JUST OK

If you want to hear Ellen talk about how much money she has then this is the show for you. Not many of her jokes made me laugh. I was happy because...it’s Ellen, but I feel it was weak as a stand up show. Disappointed I spent so much money actually. I don’t have as much as Ellen and she sure did remind me of it often. Should have watched it on Netflix.

RIP OFF

I love Ellen so much and hate writing this, but this show left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I felt compelled to do so. We paid $250 each to see Ellen perform. First they lock up our cell phones, which was very unsettling, then Ellen is 30 minutes late coming on. Finally the guy comes out to say she's coming on soon and informed us they we were not to yell anything out to Ellen even if it's "I love you Ellen"! What??? Really? Then she performed for 1 hour. Come on, $250 for a 1 hour performance, you've got to be kidding me! What an utter disappointment and rip off of $500 of our very hard earned money.

TOO MUCH HISTORY NOT STAND UP

Stand Up should be edgier , less safe than her show. Dissapointed
