Featuring a selection of spectacular moments, the program emphasizes a diverse range of Alonzo King's works - from introspective and emotionally intense pieces to those filled with joy and emotional liberation!
In addition to the extraordinary skill of its dancers, Lines Ballet is renowned for its collaboration with globally acclaimed musical partners. The company unites its artistic talents with the soulful baritone voice of GRAMMY Award-winning artist Gregory Porter and South African singer-songwriter Miriam Makeba. The musical accompaniment encompasses a rich spectrum of traditions, including blues, Italian baroque, pop, and jazz, as well as representations of Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Tibetan Buddhist music. Through the fusion of movement and music, the performance aims to explore the fundamental question of what it means to be human.
