Straw Hat Pirates, Unite

Chow down on your Gum-Gum Fruit and get on your best pirate gear, because One Piece is coming to town. Celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary this year, the San Francisco Symphony will be playing some of the show's most iconic tunes, including "Sai sai saikyo!!!," and "Binks no Sake" while some of Monkey D. Luffy's wildest adventures play on screen. You'll even get treated to some new songs composed specifically for the occasion. Maybe you were introduced to the anime by the new live-action show, or maybe you've been a long-time fan of the manga, no matter what, you're going to love this performance!

One Piece is one of the longest-running animes in existence with over one thousand episodes to date and counting. If you were to watch them all in one hit, you'd be there for over seventeen days, now that's dedication.

What's it about?

The One Piece anime first premiered in October 1999 and was based on the manga of the same name. Monkey D. Luffy, is a boy who dreams of being the King of the Pirates, and his world turns upside down after he eats a Devil Ruit that gifts him with magical stretchy powers. As he gathers his crew and sets off to sail the high seas, who knows what adventure awaits him?
