Why See Ellen DeGeneres?
First stand-up in 15 years
She's back! Comedian, presenter, and undoubted national treasure Ellen DeGeneres is returning to her roots, with a series of stand-up shows this August. She'll be visiting three cities, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle, with tickets officially going on sale June 22. The Seattle dates will be filmed for a Netflix comedy special.
Ellen made her breakthrough as a comic in the 1980s, before going on to star in her own ABC sitcom. Ellen, which ran for five seasons, made history when its star announced 'I'm gay!' during the iconic Puppy Episode. Since then, Ellen has hosted the Oscars, created a daytime TV staple with The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and continued to be an outspoken proponent of LGBTQ rights. We can't wait to see what her stand-up routine has in store!
