My husband and I enjoy her music… hated the show. We were excited to see the July 15, 2023 performance at the beautiful, Fox Oakland theatre. The show started 20 minutes late. I will say, here bandmates are talented. They carried the show. They had plenty of opportunity to showcase their talents, as Ms. Krall openly admitted she couldn’t find the right key, and couldn’t remember the words to the songs. After the repeated solos, Diana introduced the men repeatedly. At times, she didn’t move at all. Her hair covered her face the entire time and when we did see her face, it was clear something wasn’t right. Her words were slurry and her voice was gravely, not the usual sultry sound. Was she drunk? High? On heavy meds? I don’t know. We left after an hour. I actually felt mad. Not only was I asking myself, how she could go on like that, but also, how can those around her allow it? She needs help.

Very disappointing show! Maybe she's having some health issues? Did not seem to know what song was to be played and then seemed to have trouble remembering the intro - several times. Even once started a song then stopped and restarted. Came out for the encore and flipped through several pages of music on top of the piano - "i don't have my glasses I can't see" as if she was trying to pick which song to play?? Theater is beautiful but the sound was not great, at least for her voice. I'm used to her recordings where her voice is very powerful/smooth but it was way off. Looking up recent reviews of other shows seems to say the same thing.

So disappointing. She could not finish a song, was disheveled and incoherent at best. 90 percent was her band playing, trying to cover for total lack of professionalism. She was more concerned about putting a pencil behind her ear than actually singing. Quit touring and waisting peoples money or do better!...refund??

Ditto, ditto, ditto. Diana was totally checked out and her musicians had to carry her. They were great but that was not what we were expecting to hear nor what we paid the high price to go see. We wanted to hear her sing and she maybe choked out words to a couple of songs. Wish we had looked at these reviews previously. The only thing that saved me was falling asleep on my husband’s shoulder. Now that was an expensive nap!

Beautiful venue (Mountain Winery) but really disappointing performance on 7/16. Failed to engage with audience, seemed high or drunk, and enery could not have been any lower. Slurred words, seemed to lose her place etc. Now that I see so many other poor reviews, I wish I read the reviews before spending the $. Noticed crowds of people leaving early. She needs someone to get her help.

Boy - a warm up act - then a piano bar orchestra jamming at best - then Diana comes on......well it wasn't worth the wait. That is for sure. I spent a lot of time and money lugging people to see her concert last night a the Hollywood Bowl and I got nothing! I kept looking at the exit - ashamed that I invested so much time getting to finally see Diana Krall - what I saw was a shadow (if best) of who she was.

Each song was sing a little then let each musician do their own solos and then sing again and end the song. It was awful. You never saw her face and there was no program booklet. It was just a jazz jam session. We walked out after 30 minutes. She's a talent, but doesn't have a clue how to relate to her audience.
