DIANA KRALL

3 star's because Diana and the band is amazing....that being said, "Chicago Theater/Diana Krall" should have been amazing....but, it was not...She seemed not to generate the energy, the crowed was ready, but the band did not deliver...She seemed to sing well enough, and the band played well, but something was missing...no pep in the step...Its gotta be tough to play and be great every time you get on stage...Still love Diana and her bad...just disappointed with the energy....seats were great, theater is always amazing...it was difficult to hear the band, not because of the theater, been here for many concerts...

SHE WAS OFF

The band band carried her the entire night. She was off task, forgot some of the lyrics and never really showed appreciation for her audience. She seemed heavily medicated or drunk. So, sad… the night, venue and staff was all beautiful and friendly.

FAIR

I agree dhe wasn't that great performing ...I thought she would play longer but played too late. She is didn't play the song "Boy from impanema" ... Diana Is a gifted singer who has a sultry beautiful voice. I though personally, she seemed kinda melancholy, not as engaged either the audience . You don't know what's going on with her personally that maybe something happened in her personal life...one foes not know....she didn't seem herself. Give her another vhanve...she only plays once a yesr...I wish she would have sung more Bossa Nova Music...

SHE'S BEEN BETTER

We've been to several DK concerts over the years and my wife and I agreed that this one was a the worst of them. She simply cannot sing as evidenced by the fact that she clearly struggled to reach high notes and was off key on several numbers. The arrangements were questionable in our opinion as well. Her piano playing was excellent but the choice of material and her voice didn't impress us this time around. The band was very good but DK just wasn't up to our expectations. I realize that others disagree but I can only speak from our experience based on having attended her shows many times in the past.

SADDENED

We have seen Diana Krall 4 times in her career. She is a shell of her previously amazing self. She appeared disengaged, disoriented and possibly drunk/ stoned; slurring words and unable to perform. Her band was amazing. They coaxed her along. Hoping she gets the help she needs.

L AND M

This concert was no "wallflower tour" she barely played anything from that CD, very disappointing,. Her band mates were good but we went to hear her not them, they played more than she sang. This was my 2nd time seeing her and it will be my last as I felt disappointed the first time too but figured she just had an off night. She. Is so much better in my living room than in person. Plus she's a crab to the audience.

DISAPPOINTED / WALLFLOWER TOUR

Love , Love Diana Krall. That said . At the Santa Barbara Bowl she sang one song from her latest release Wallflower. The encore song was O Canada, nothing against Canada, but California Dreamin' would have been more appropriate. Sorry I left at O Canada. The ensemble of musician's was incredible, but I paid to hear her. My husband has been very ill so this was a special night out . We listen to her Wallflower release all the time . Just very disappointed it was represented that way. Still love her , but will stay home next time .
