Wit, aristocratic poise and elegance; mercurial shifts of mood, intensity and lightness of touch in near-miraculous balance.

Why See San Francisco Symphony - Urbanski Conducts Dvorak's Cello Concerto?

An evening of elegance awaits you at the San Francisco Symphony, with a triple program that demonstrates the best of the cello. Argentine virtuoso cellist Sol Gabetta joins the proceedings as she performs Dvorak's romantic Cello Concerto. This is followed by Mozart's beloved Overture to The Magic Flute, and ending with Lutoslawski's folklore-inspired Concerto for Orchestra. The program will be conducted by Krzysztof Urbanski, who is currently enjoying his fifth season as Music Director of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
