San Francisco Opera: The Barber of Seville

Disguises, trickery and hilarious schemes.
Why see San Francisco Opera: The Barber of Seville?
Figaro! Figaro! Figaro!
One of the most synonymous works in the operatic canon, Rossini's delightfully farcical The Barber of Seville returns to San Francisco, in Emilio Sagi's wildly popular Flamenco-inspired production. Starring the mischievous Count Almavira and his wily servant Figaro, prepare to be highly amused by their cheeky antics as they take on the adventure of wooing the witty beauty Rosina - right out from under the nose of Dr Bartolo.
What is the story of The Barber of Seville?
We follow Figaro, the titular Barber of Seville, and a self-made matchmaker. His latest project is to try to spirit away the beautiful Rosina to wed Count Almaviva, much to the dismay of her guardian, Dr. Bartolo, who wants to marry her himself. Will love win the day, or will Figaro's cunning plans fail? Either way, it's a highly entertaining ride!
