Toni Rembe Theatre
American Conservatory Theater, 415 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102
Toni Rembe Theatre is part of the American Conservatory Theater complex.
American Conservatory Theatre's flagship theatre, the Toni Rembe Theatre was first built in 1910 in a Classical Revival and Late Victorian style by Walter D. Bliss and his partner William Baker Faville as evidenced in elaborate carvings, high ceilings, chandeliers, and ornate Beaux Arts decoration. A San Francisco Designated Landmark under its former name of the Geary Theatre, it is now named for Toni Rembe, a philanthropist and long-time supporter of the arts and nonprofit organizations. A stone's throw from the bustling Union Square District, it sits alongside vibrant restaurants, shopping destinations and hotels.
