San Francisco Opera - Strauss In Concert

San Francisco Opera - Strauss In Concert at War Memorial Opera House

Why see San Francisco Opera - Strauss In Concert?

A Strauss Celebration

San Francisco Opera's music director, Eun Sun Kim, leads the Opera Orchestra through an evening of Richard Strauss brilliance, culminating in a selection of brand new arrangements taken from Der Rosenkavalier by Tomas Ille and Phillippe Jordan, performed for the first time in the US. The bittersweet comic opera forms an exploration of the passage of time and the effect on our hearts, and this concert performance brings all that makes the music and story so timeless, freshly reimagined by Ille and Jordan.

Preceding this is the tone poem Till Eulenspiegel and Brentano Lieder, a selection of six songs which set poems by Clemens Brentano to music. With soprano Adela Zaharia performing with the orchestra, don't miss out on a thrilling evening with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra.
