Why see Bad News Bears: The Musical?
World Premiere
The classic 1976 Paramount Pictures film The Bad News Bears steps off the screen and onto the stage in this world premiere.
Originally penned by Bill Lancaster, this new adaptation features music by Brian Feinstein with book and lyrics by Eric Garcia, choreography by Steph Paul, and all brought together under the direction of Sherri Eden Barber. With the original source material celebrated as a cult classic for its irreverent take on the American underdog story, this production infuses that outsider spirit into its DNA.
The Bad News Bears
A cynical, washed-up ex-baseball player finds himself leading a sorry group of Little League rejects. And just for a nice extra dose of personal friction, among the roster of uncoordinated teens is his own ex-stepdaughter.
But as the team struggles to find their footing, in this story of second chances and persistence, they may yet transition from a band of losers into a second family of winners.
