Berkeley Rep re-examines Arthur Miller's classic morality tale in thrilling revival next Spring
Associate Artistic Director David Mendizabal takes the helm for a bold reimagining of Arthur Miller's searing family morality tale, coming to Berkeley Rep next Spring. Reframing Miller's play to focus on a Puerto Rican family whose struggle for success has devastating consequences, this truly original revival of All My Sons promises to be absolutely essential theater.
A struggling family is desperate to achieve the mesmerizing promise of the American Dream. And after years of hard work, they seem to have finally got there. But the family is unprepared for the revelations of a decision their father made a long time ago - a decision that has had consequences far more severe than any could have imagined, and now threatens to tear them apart. This new revival centres the action on a Puerto Rican family and focuses on themes of class, race and inequity.
