Originally composed in tribute to the Boston Symphony Orchestra on their centenary, Divertimento is an ebullient piece that uses his signature style of blending styles to create an intriguing and highly entertaining work.
Also featured is his Serenade a piece that draws on Plato's Symposium and Shostakovich's magnificent 5th Symphony.
