Sibelius' 1905 Violin Concerto stars with the San Francisco Symphony, during which celebrated violin virtuoso Ray Chen takes to the stage, bring his flair to the showpiece passages which were designed to test the mettle of even the most accomplished of players. Tomas Netopil conducts the program, which also includes a performance of Dvorak's Carnival overture and Bedrich Smetama's tribute to the Czech Republic, Ma Vlast.

Award-winning Taiwanese-Australian violinist Ray Chen has more achievements under his belt than anyone could believe. He opened the 1998 Winter Olympics in Japan, partnered with fashion house Armani, and was featured in the soundtrack of the League of Legends animated series Arcane to name a few.
