Why see San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus Holiday Spectacular?
Cher The Joy
Join the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus for their fabulously festive annual Holiday Spectacular. With a cast of 300 singers, enjoy a flurry of fantastic yuletide hits, from the traditional tones of Jingle Bells to a soon-to-be iconic holiday-inspired Cher medley in a night of merriment and memory-making!
San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus
Created by Jon Reed Sims in 1978 in response to the highly charged Save Our Children initiative launched by infamously homophobic Anita Bryant and inspired by Harvey Milk's trailblazing run as the first openly gay City supervisor, the SFGMC is one of the country's most prominent and historic LGBTQIA+ choirs. In addition to performing, the company is also highly active in the community, from their first gig at a vigil for Milk after his murder, to the AIDs epidemic, they have given visibly to the Gay Rights Movement, through outreach and education.
