An evening of eye opening conversation with two celebrated authors
City Arts & Lectures invites all literature fanatics to this fascinating evening of conversation between authors Andre Aciman and Andrew Sean Greer, hosted by award-winning arts journalist and fiction writer Steven Winn. Perhaps best known for Call Be My Your Name, his exquisitely written mediation on desire, coming out and coming of age, as well as the subsequent Academy Award winning film, Aciman is also a multi-talented essayist, a scholar of 17th century works and currently teaches comparative literature in New York.
Fellow acclaimed author Andrew Sean Greer received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his Less, a satirical novel that chronicles protagonist Arthur Less' journey of self discovery after his relationship with a younger man ends and middle age comes knocking at the door. United by their earnest and tender portrayals of homosexuality, these two writers are sure to offer much insight into what it means to be a man in an era of toxic masculinity, LGBQT oppression and changing perceptions.
