Academy Award-winning actor, prolific tweeter and all-round hero Tom Hanks is set to release his debut book this fall, Uncommon Type; a love letter to his fascination with old vintage typewriters. Written over the course of two years, this anthology of 17 stories all center around his unusual hobby, including the a refugee arriving in New York after civil war destroys his family and country; a man who always bowls a perfect game, and an eccentric billionaire.
