San Francisco Symphony orchestrates the Chinese New Year Concert
The Chinese New Year Concert is a sparkling way to bring in the Lunar New Year with music by the stunning San Francisco Symphony. The important Chinese festival is sacred as it's traditionally a way to honor ancestors and deities, it is also associated with several myths and legends.
Beginning at 2pm, the event starts with a reception featuring an exciting mix of lion dancing, red envelopes, entertainment, tea bars and snacks. Two hours later the concert will commence and transport audiences into a vibrant and lively world.
The Year of the Dog represents loyalty and honest and predicts people born this year are friendly, faithful, loyal, smart and straightforward. The San Francisco Symphony ensures it's an event for all the family to enjoy!
