The Impossible Dream
Inspired by Cervantes' classic, Man of La Mancha is a buoyant musical adventure, following the noble (but slightly foolish) knight Don Quixote and his manservant Sancho Panza as they travel the land, righting wrongs. Written by Dale Wasserman, The Man of La Mancha features Cervantes' himself, narrating the action from a jail cell. The score features classic number after classic umber, including 'The Impossible Dream', which has seen been covered by everyone from The Temptations to Elvis.
Man of La Mancha's original Broadway production debuted in 1965 and won 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
