The summer musicals season continues at Woodminster Amphitheatre, with a full production of Broadway hit, Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Based on the original animated 1991 movie, and more recently the live-action remake starring Emma Watson, this charming and legendary show was Disney's first-ever stage adaptation, premiering in 1994 to near-universal love from audiences. It has won a Tony Award and Olivier Award for Best Costumes and Best New Musical, respectively.
A Favorite as old as time
Featuring all of the beloved songs from the original movie, including Be Our Guest and the title track, the show also includes additional numbers from original composer Alan Menken and musical theatre legend Tim Rice. An absolutely magical show, Beauty and the Beast still remains the standard by which all others must be judged.
Follow the fortunes of Belle, a smart, beautiful young woman living in a quiet village in France who yearns for something more. Ostracised as odd by the locals, and pursued by the vain, ultra-masculine Gaston, her desire for adventure is unexpectedly answered, when she sets out to find her missing father. An enchanted castle, magical objects and a terrifying beast await her - but can she break the spell, and find true love?

DO NOT MISS THIS ONE
My husband and I brought our 3 children to see this production 9/2/17
It was our first time at Woodminster so we were not sure what to expect. The theatre is
breathtaking. Our children were able to take pictures with character cutouts before the
show and take a performer escorted tour of the castle and stage. Afterwards the main
characters came out on stage for photos and Q&A. The concession food and drinks were
