Dances at a Gathering

Created in 1969, Dances marked Robbins' return to the world of ballet, after spending time choreographing for the movie musicals of the day. Described by Clive Barnes of the New York Times as 'honest as breathing and as graceful as lark-song', this whimsical piece that celebrates love and preaches togetherness, has moved many in their time.

Choregraphy: Jerome Robbins

Music: Chopin

Swimmer

Adapted from a short story by John Cheever, Swimmer takes us on the journey of a man as he navigates through suburban swimming pools, meeting the challenges of domesticity and enjoying Hollywood glitz in this piece that immerses the audience in pop culture references to the growl of Tom Waits. Youthful and quirky, this was a must see during 2015.

Choreography: Yuri Possokhov

Music: Shinji Eshima
