Why see This Random World?

Another Great Work from Steven Dietz

Written by playwright Steven Dietz, This Random World is a play based on the behaviors of the Millennial generation and Generation X. The play focuses on how situations are dealt with in the digital age and numerous characters on their individual journeys. Dietz' plays typically center on politics, comedy and deception and This Random World is his latest exciting installment.

Coming to Sacramento's Luther Burbank Center, the play tells the stories of a number of characters and how their lives intertwine. Scottie Ward doesn't have much life left to live so decides to go on one last trip abroad. Her daughter Beth Ward plans to run away from her monotonous daily life by traveling to Nepal and her brother Tim Ward publishes his own obituary online as a joke.

This modern play powerfully explores how we all live our lives and are connected through our actions.
