San Francisco Symphony presents Tim Burton's 1993 stop-motion classic for your viewing pleasure! Alongside a projection of the movie, the orchestra will play Danny Elfman's incredible score, including favorites, 'This is Halloween' and 'Making Christmas.' Full of ghouls, ghosts, and monsters, The Nightmare before Christmas is the ultimate all hallows eve/Christmas crossover, destined to put you and your family in the holiday mood!
Based on a 1987 poem by Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas is the story of Halloween Town, run by the charismatic Jack Skellington. Tired of the yearly celebrations, Jack stumbles across a series of portals to other holiday towns, but is most drawn to the excitement and warmth of Christmas. Full of new plans, he runs back to tell the grim denizens of Halloween Town his new plan...To steal Christmas!
Astonishingly detailed and beautifully written, Nightmare has long been seen as one of Burton's best works and receives a warm welcome every holiday season.
