A Perfect Family Event

Christmas is all about spending time with loved ones and what better way to celebrate the festive season than with Sergey Prokofiev's enchanting Peter and the Wolf. Told through the voice of a narrator and performed by the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, Peter and the Wolf tells the story of a young boy called Peter and his dicey yet brave encounter, along with his animal friends, with a lone wolf.

Originally created by Prokofiev to teach children the different elements within a symphony orchestra, each furry friend in the composition are defined by their instrument, bringing the wonderful world of the symphony to the ears of young people.
