I attended the Adam Ant Concert at the Pageant last night and it was so much fun! I saw him twice back in the 80s and was in love with the guy! I can honestly say he’s still got it! I was transformed back to my youth. He played a lot of my favorite Adam Ant songs and he sounded great and the man still has some moves. He played with a lot of energy and sass. I listened to his songs so much back in the day that I still knew every word and danced and sang along! Rock on Adam and please come back to St. Louis.

GREAT SHOW
Admitedly, I was hesitant to attend the show because I'd been a huge Ants fan and didn't want to be disappointed seeing him this late in life, the way I did after seeing Devo. But Ant did not disappoint and put on an energetic, 2-hour show. I liked the two drummers, although they largely played the same beats, unlike the original Ants. Regardless, it was a terrific show and he played a wide variety of the old material, even some 7" B-sides, which I really appreciated. The crowd was 3/4 women, which I thought was hilarious. I guess the man's still got it! My only criticism was the sound at the Phoenix, which sucked. The sound person should be fired. For the first half of the show, you could barely hear the vocals over the drums. For the entire the show, you had to wait a few bars before you could figure out what song they were playing because the guitars were pretty much non-existent in the mix. Despite this, the band put on a very worthwhile show. Glad I went.

ANT MUSIC FOREVER, GREAT SHOW
The show was "wonderful" even though he didn't play wonderful. Loved that he played
songs you haven't heard in years. A true performer, he is ageless with pure energy. the
band rocked the house with 2 hours of non-stop ant music. The opening band glam
skanks were awesome, would love to see them again in the future. Would highly
recommend this show to anyone. ant music forever.

ADAM ANT STARTS "FRIEND OR FOE" TOUR IN MILWAUKEE
Friend or Foe set, then:
Dog Eat Dog-Kick-Vive Le Rock-Zerox-CarTrouble-Ants Invasion-Ant Music-Prince Charming-Strip-Beat My Guest-Kings of the Wild Frontier-Fall-In-Stand and Deliver
Encore: Press Darlings-Red Scab-Physical
Excluding the ballad "Wonderful" (and a few 'Prince Charming' charmers) these are likely ALL the songs a fan could dream of hearing, especially in one standing. Hearing all the "F.O.F" songs all at once was disorienting; I hadn't spun both sides for decades. Assessment: many lyrics were just silly & redundant. I forgive him because FOF contains some gems.
On to performance.
Adam seemed tired. Maybe it was a first show thing; gotta work the bugs out. A few vocal cues missed, but the band powered right through.
I wish I'd seen the "Kings of" tour, to compare notes.
Adam did some signature dance moves, with some appreciated banter interspersed. All that was lacking was vocal energy & clarity as a whole.
So many gold nuggets, overall. All things considered, 4 stars

GREAT SHOW, TERRIBLE SOUND
The show was pretty much what I could hope for in for someone that I saw 30 years ago. He played with energy for about 2 hours. He did a good job of mixing up his music but I was glad to hear many of the old Adam and the Ants tracks. That being said, it was the worst sounding concert I have ever attended. I could not make out most of the words that were being sung.
