It's back to the 90s as the San Francisco Playhouse and director Margot Hall kicks off the 2023/34 season with this delightful romantic comedy from Jocelyn Bioh! Set in the burgeoning world of the Nigerian film business in Lagos, aka Nollywood, join Ayamma as her showbiz dreams begin when she lands a once-in-a-lifetime audition with the industry's hottest director. Follow her as she rises from working at the family Travel agency business to the A-List, falling in love and beating off her rivals to become the star of the show!

Billed by Bioh as "a love letter to the African films of my youth and to an industry I'm crazy enough to love and work in: show business", she hopes "audiences will enjoy, learn from and connect with the universality of the story."
