Hamilton was fantastic, the music was riveting, pretty and had a great beat, the dancing was modern and cool and added to the story, the story was historical and told well in a musical theatre way, drama interspersed with humor and romance, and the acting was excellent. Fleshing out the drama in person makes the whole story understandable, and engaging even though it is a fast paced production, filled to the brim with information. Older kids will enjoy, it does have some language and situations that may not be for the under 13 set. We had 6th row seats middle orchestra - thanks John! and they were fabulous. We could see all faces and expressions. LOVED IT! There's so much to watch, between the main actors and the surrounding dancers and singers, you can't see everything at once........I have to go again.

I have seen many wonderful plays, but this one is beyond excellent. I would download the soundtrack first and get to know some of the songs. It will truly add to the experience because 99% of the show is musical.

Hamilton is a fantastic musical. The writing and history that drive it could create a memorable experience with any cast. However, the experience of watching Hamilton live should bring you to tears. It should live up to hype and surpass it. The performance of the new San Francisco installation at the SHN Orpheum theater that opened February 12, 2019 fails in this regard. Weak vocal ability and weaker acting across most of your main characters make the experience truly troubling. I took my partner here for Valentine's day - we had seen Hamilton once prior in London and it was incredible, surpassing all expectations. The magic was gone in this SF rendition. Actors forgot their lines, were off-key to start, the theater's usher were bringing in and out and endless parade of late-comers shinning lights in everyone's eye completely oblivious to the fact that each of us had paid through the nose to be there. George Washington was a stand out. But I recommend seeing it in another city!

The choreography was excellent; the commitment of the actors to their parts was superb. The staging was wonderful. But I was astonished to find that in the first Act (2 hours) I could only make out perhaps 10% of the words being sung. Since this musical has virtually no spoken dialogue, one would expect the production team to make some effort to ensure the audience could understand the words being sung. Five (out of 5) other members of the audience with whom I spoke at the interval or after the show said the same: 10% of the words at most were able to be heard with understanding. There were songs where I would have defied anyone to hear the words at all, as the music was playing so loudly. If it were an opera, there would have been sub-titling of some sort. I'm told the libretto is "brilliant". Sadly, this production is badly let down by rendering the libretto almost irrelevant. One could make out certain key words occasionally (e.g., "tea", "England", "fight") but that was all.

It was good. Not worth 330$ Though. Maybe 100$ Couldn’t understand most of the lyrics. Coreography was on point Really talented singers. Well written. Not really sure what the whole point of the show was though honestly , other then to rip on A. Ham. Would not pay to see it again, but good for one time if you feel like lighting 300$ on fire.

I have to say the energy of production was not the same as in 2017. and after someone behind me said worst cast ever. just made it real to me. paying over $200 just made it that much worse to be interrupted by late comer in part 1 and part 2 after the intermission... jeez.

It was Ok, too long of a show. it was over priced. We were was seated in the Orchestra and too tight , and the chairs need to be replaced , its not comfortable. I was over hyped. it was okay, but not superb.
