Living Rent

Broadway hero Anthony Rapp brings his acclaimed autobiographical solo musical "Without You" to the Curran Theater in San Francisco this fall! In 1994, Rapp's was in New York working in a coffee shop when he got an audition for a new musical called Rent. Little did he know that the legendary production he was about to become part of would change his life. "Without You" tells his story, with a full rock band providing the music to this chronicle of Rapp's experiences of high highs and low lows.

The show premiered in New York in January 2023, earning acclaim for its emotional impact and Rapp's time-tested ability to connect with the audience. Led by Rapp and director Steven Maler "Without You" weaves the celebrated music of Rent with original compositions, coming together to deliver a fantastic new musical.
