Having lived in SF almost 15 years and never been to a concert at att park, I thought this
might be a fun show. We had okay seats on the lower side of the stage which would’ve
been fine had they not boxed the stage so that we saw very little of anything except a
screen and 20% of the stage. The sound for both bands was bad. DL’s mix got better
after 5 or 6 songs, but the line array for side fill wasn’t very good, and the mix was just
okay. Still enjoyed seeing them play live, and would probably go again if at a different
venue. The lighting guy is lazy, and the whole laser special was useless in outdoor venue
with no fog. Journey’s mix was even worse and we left after a few songs.

DL ROCKED AND WAS AMAZING JOURNEY HORRIBLE
Def Leppard should have headlines their songs sounded great.. great drumming and
guitar work and Joe Ellliot could still belt it out..The production was amazing and the
fans were totally into it..
Journey my old SF band I grew up there. was a major major disappointment.. We left
after 2 songs.. ARnel is not as good as Steve Perry ..Neal Schon over shadowed
everyone and his guitar work was average.. The rest of the band just so-so..No
comparison to Def leppard ..Jorney was about 50% as good.
We are looking forward to the next DL tour hopefully not with Journey
By the way foreigner played 6 songs and sound pretty good.. They had a very high
energy lead singer now,,who for the most part sounded pretty good..Not as good as
the original Lead singer though.

JOURNEY/DEF LEPPARD
I recently went to the concert in New Orleans
and i was disappointed with the way journey
performed. It was a one man show, literally. I
see why Steve Perry left the band. Neil Shawn
stole the show with his continuous solo acts in
between every. Single. Song! Overall I like
journeys attempt to still stay together, but Def
Leppard was a 10 star act! Seriously, amazing!
They performed as a band and kept the crowd
so energized the entire time! If only they would
have ended the show I might not have been as
disappointed.

JOURNEY GUITARISTS AND MIXERS OVERPOWERS LEAD SINGER
Let the lead singer sing god sake...that is the main reason I came to hear journey, but the sound mixing and the unforgiving overload of instrument riffs totally overpowered their Steve Perry doppelganger and his amazing vocals. in the brief beginning of "faithfully" I thought they might have finally gotten the mixing correct, but no, no not to long into the song...he he goes again with the blasting background music. better fix the mixing or be prepared for crappy reviews. I am not saying the guitars are not great, just need to be turned down 3 notches on the amps!
almost deaf by instruments.

GREAT PRODUCTION, LOUSY SOUND!
Maybe it was were I was sitting, but the sound was wayyy too loud! Everything was
turned up which distorted most of the music. I was wearing high quality ear protection
and still I couldn't believe how turned up the volume was. If you weren't wearing
something on your ears, you left the show with damaged ears...no doubt. The
production was excellent, and the performers did a great job. Just turn the music down
a little and we can all enjoy the show next time!

BUYER BEWARE
The Pretenders were a great opening act and Christie
Hynde can still sing like never before. Then the
announcement that there is only 30 minutes till the
next act, which is great as it gives you a heads up to
get a beer and time for your seat. Then a 5 minute
count down and then Def Leppard hits the stage! I
wasn’t really expecting much from an 80’s band but
was I wrong. They sounded fantastic! They played all
their hits and had videos of there past tours in the
80’s and really kept the crowd in the show. Again, they
sounded great! Played an encore and a selfie with the
crowd behind them to end their part of the show.
Then about a half hour later Journey takes the stage
and what a disappointment. We are huge Journey
fans and they sounded horrible. A guitar solo in every
song and could never hear the vocals. Most of the
crowd around us sat (we were 28th row main floor)
and a lot of the crowd left after the 3rd or fourth
song. No encore and very disappointing.

DEF LEPPARD GREAT/ JOURNEY VERY DISAPPOINTED
Family surprised me with tickets to concert in Baltimore on 6/16/18, this was our
second Journey concert and I was very disappointed. Sound was very poor quality
and continued and singer seemed out of tune most of the night. Neil should just
do a solo concert since most of the show consisted of his solo's. Not sure why they
don't spend more time playing some past songs. I was not sure what to expect
with Def Leppard, was not sure how many of their songs i would know, ended up
knowing almost all of them. Boy did they makeup for all of Journeys short comings.
Great show, energy, and sound. Glad we stayed we were thinking of leaving after
Journey but decided to stay. Advice to Journey fix problem with Steve Perry or stop
wasting your fans time and money.
