Corinne
I love when an artist steps forward and expresses a new vision of their craft and interpretation of how they see/experience the world in which we live. In this regard, Corinne nailed it! Her confidence to explore new expressions while staying true to her roots was inspiring. My only complaint was that she was overwhelmed by her band to the extent that I was able to only hear/understand 10% of her words. For an artist that expresses herself through her lyrics, it was, well, disappointing to not be able to hear/understand her words! It felt like they were playing in Soldier Field, not Cahn Auditorium. I just wish they would have dialed the band back a bit.
Very talented
I love Corrine, she deserves a 5 star but I was expecting her to sing her top well known songs. At least we were able to hear like a star.
Disappointed
I paÃd to hear the songs that I have loved for years. I understand that she wanted to promote her latest songs, but I feel there could have been an appropriate mix of old and new. I think that it was a complete disregard for her fans for her to sing only ONE of the hits at the very end. I feel like I wasted my money and it won’t happen again with her.
Not Worth It
Looking forward, I'll listen to her music, or watch the video, rather than waste money seeing her perform live. She failed to perform the songs from her debut album which launched her career and made her famous here in the USA. Nearly everyone in attendance at the Lincoln Theater in Washington, DC left feeling disappointed in her performance. People in the audience were shouting to her, "do some of your old songs," which she completely disregarded. I do not recommend spending money to see her perform, until she better understands and appreciates the audience expectations. Maybe she's just a good studio artist, but not as appealing doing concert tours. Never again!
The worst ever
This was, undoubtedly the worst life performance I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to many concerts. While I appreciate a performer, wanting to share some of their new album to totally disregard why most of us were there, which is to hear her Grammy award winning songs is a utter disregard for the audience. She was so consumed by herself interest in her museum visit in Chicago that she completely forgot her audience really had no interest in her topic whatsoever she went on and on and on between each song and we were bored to tears and her sound system was not very good either. We left early it was that bad
Why?
CBR ... How naive of me to think you would showcase your talent with some of the songs that made you ... you. I guess I should have just put your record on. Peace.
