LIONEL RICHIE STILL HAS IT

Lionel Richie put on a great show in Oakland last night-he still has the magic and the audience loved him. He did all his old favorites and really had the audience rocking. Mariah Carey was another story-she didn't allow them to use the big screens so you could hardly see her and it was either because she is now heavy or she was lip-synching-not sure which but maybe both. She is too much of a diva and everyone was disappointed in her.

Lionel took the AAC back to the 70's last night what an awesome performer we segued to COMMODORES for a good 30 minutes I am kind of sore from dancing ALL NIGHT LONG :) every age group was in the audience grandmothers with their daughters with their daughters his light show is WOW luv u Lionel

Wow, what a wonderful evening. Yes, children/family could attend. There were kids in the audience and he made it part of the show. All ages attended! He really interacts with the audience and invites you to sing and be a part of the experience. He seemed as though he would dance and perform "All Night Long"! We were in section 10 on the Floor Row C - great seats! He even performed We are the World

What a professional performer Lionel Richie is still after all these years. Sounded great and looked like he enjoys entertaining people. It was well worth enduring the Mariah set to hear a real legend deliver a real performance. His music still holds up today. I took my 8 year old daughter and she danced the whole night with me. She wondered what was wrong with "That lady", re; Carey. Carey was a joke, a self-parody. Every song sounds the same, stands around immobile, and has little range in her voice. Unfortunately, most Careyites consider shrieking to be some great talent. The whole diva shtick with Carey reflects a real reality tv feel, which is where she belongs.

Although I appreciated Mariah Carey's vocals, Lionel stole the show! He made the night spectacular and made it very personable and fun! Probably the best concert I have been to for a long time! Couldn't help but listen to him more on my morning commute today! Still basking in the moment! Highly recommend the show, but I believe Seattle was the last show! Thanks Lionel for making me a life long fan!

LIONEL RITCHIE IS STILL GREAT

We went to the Lionel Ritchie Mariah Carey concert last night. Mariahs band was so loud with bad acoustics that I could not even hear her. But Lionel Ritchies performance was amazing. He put on a fabulous show, sang all his great hits and more. The added bonus was he was so funny and personable. Highly recommend seeing his show. He was great.

Beautiful night at the Hollywood Bowl! Lionel brings his A+ game to every show and this was no exception! 10 stars for him! as a consummate performer, he has the ability to engage the audience totally, with the side screens showing him up-close and a plethora of visual treats behind him, his energy never flagged ALL NIGHT LONG. people were up, dancing, singing, swaying and shining their light. he made the ticket price 110% worthwhile, a reward for the effort to get around LA traffic on any night of the week. Mariah was a Disappointing Diva!. NO energy or effort! She can barely walk unassisted, constantly carried around/fawned over by her cadre of dancers & spent half her set sitting on a throne in the WAY back, had multiple unexplained exit breaks, trotted out her kids to the spotlight. Sorry for them to be exploited for the fans. Sad. She had shut down the big screens, 90% of the audience couldn't see her at all. Maybe she was lip synching, who knows? 2 stars, just because she's MC.

LIONEL RICHIE IN DENVER PEPSI CENTER

Great show by Lionel and awesome graphics and lighting, especially dancing on the ceiling. Sound had some problems picking up Lionel vocals, drowned out by the over-the-top bass. Perhaps it was his hand mike was too directional. Lots of energy throughout the show had the crowd all dancing, loved Brick House. Would be 5 stars if the sound crew was better in my opinion. Worth the money for sure!

Lionel Richie was the only reason I attended this performance. He was amazing !! I could never understand why Lionel Richie and Maria Carey's agents thought putting them on tour together would make any sense...Wish I had cancelled my ticket and booked Lionel's show in Las Vegas instead...Problem was, his next gig in Vegas was just recently announced !!!😐

Lionel looks as fit and young as ever belting out hit after hit delighting the packed oracle arena. His vocals were sharp and on point and the man is a true showman. As far as Mariah, I wish she would have lip synced, the diva is nothing nothing but a memory, the once golden 5 octave screamer could only dream to maybe even sing an entire song. All in all LR will not disappoint, .

SO DISAPPOINTED WITH MARIAH CAREY - SHE WAS THE REASON I WEN

As a Mom and woman I can understand not wanting to be seen up close having a few extra pounds on but I was SO looking forward to seeing Mariah for the first time. She used to keep me company when I moved to the Dominican Republic and didn't speak the language or know anyone. My Mom once told me she felt like Mariah Carey was like a friend for me during that time. That was when I was a teenager. Now I am 46 and going through a rough time in life. Thought it would be a good idea to go see her. Was so disappointed to not really even be able to see her as she was so far away and only had videos showing on the screens of times before. I had also thought Mariah and Lionel would have sung Endless Love together as Mariah had sung it with Luther Vandross and Lionel with Shania Twain. I thought that would have been the highlight of the whole concert. But, I am glad that Lionel sung We Are the World. That was a nice surprise. But, SO let down by Mariah.

MARIAH CAREY

This review is only for her, because Lionel Richie was great. She was terrible. No energy, frequent breaks, an hour late getting on stage, had to be carried on and off the stage, took frequent breaks in a total of a 45 minute set, doesn't sing well, doesn't like the audience, has no energy, doesn't put much into the show. Very disappointing. Also didn't want her image on the big screens so they were blank. We bought our tickets to have a good vantage point of the screens. Extremely disappointing and rude for her fans. We left work early, fought the traffic, and got to the concert at 6 pm. The show was supposed to start at 7, she didn't come onstage until 8 PM. That meant that we did not get out of the Hollywood bowl tonight until way after 11 PM. We just now got home at 1 AM. We have to get up and go to work tomorrow morning. I guess Mariah Carey doesn't care because she can sleep in till noon, and those mundane things don't matter to her. But they matter to us,
