Tony, Toni, Tone Reunite For KBLX's 40th Anniversary
Bay Area heroes KBLX-FM 102.9 have spent 40 years keeping San Francisco's radio waves smooth and soulful with the finest Urban Adult Contemporary music and to celebrate, they're serving up a big helping of warm nostalgia pie at the KBLX Anniversary Concert. The long awaited fall bash features the hotly anticipated reunion of new jack swing outfit Tony, Toni, Tone and harem pants-toting hip hop icon MC Hammer.
Hailing from Oakland, California, Tony, Toni, Tone was formed by half-brothers Dwayne and Raphael Wiggins and their cousin Timothy Christian Riley in 1986. Their innovative blend of new jack swing with gospel, R&B and polished, modern production values broke through with the release of their first two albums and ensured Top Ten Single success from 1988 right through to 1996 with tracks like Anniversary, If I Had No Loot and Feels Good.
