OKLAHOMA, REMAKE

season ticket holder 30 years...wish I had read reviews before selecting this show..Roger's and Hammerstein must be rolling in their Graves! Absolutely terrible, nothing good to say...left shortly after 2nd act started..a first for me!

SAD

My 90 year old Mom chose this show because she hadn’t been to Starlight in years as she was the caregiver for my Dad that passed away. Her quote, “It will take days to get over this show!” No set changes, minimal costume changes, Singing and dancing was underwhelming. We have been going to Starlight for 30 years and we’re extremely disappointed.

BAIT AND SWITCH

The director hijacked a well loved tale of Americana and traditional courtship and tried to "re-educate" those of us in flyover country. It's no coincidence that a good portion of the audience left at Intermission. This travesty has made me re-think if I want to roll the dice again at future Starlight theatrical tickets.

OKLAHOMA

I took 6 young kids from my youth group to see this play. I bragged to them that it was a classic’ and they would love it. Walked out after 45 minutes into show. Embarrassed for the kids of the sexual content; and the lack of talent: It was the worst I have ever seen; and will never enter Starlight theater again. I think they could even make Mickey Mouse look obscene these days. Went home and we watched the original classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, the kids who were 10-13 years of age loved it. Planning to watch the classic “Oklahoma” soon. I remember Starlight as being very family oriented, not anymore. Very disappointed, will never return.

WORST SHOW IN HISTORY

This is the first time I have ever felt motivated to really write a review. I’ve had season tickets to the Broadway shows since the NCPAC was built. So at least 20 years? This was THE WORST performance to date. They took a classic Broadway show which could have been phenomenal and absolutely destroyed it. Even on the 4th row you could barely understand what they were saying as the sound system was terrible. I honestly thought it was worse than any high school drama department could have put on. I would absolutely recommend saving your money if you have not purchased tickets. My crew of 12 all left at intermission (also a first for me) singing “Oh what a horrible eveningggg, oh what a horrible showwww”!! Definitely praying that next years series can redeem the average quality that we’ve seen this year!!

3 HOURS I CAN NEVER GET BACK!

Extremely disappointed in the show. The director's take on a classic Rodgers and Hammerstein has them rolling in their graves! The performers had great voices, the orchestra did a great job, but the story line left more than a bit to be desired!

CONFUSED

3 hours of my life I won’t get back. This was a dark and confusing play.
