the beginning of a beautiful friendship

Let's be real, Casablanca is one of the greatest films of all time, a war time romance full of jazz, gin, ingenious plans and outsmarted Nazis, with sizzling performances from Bogey and Bergman. The San Francisco Symphony certainly agree, with this special presentation of timeless North African adventure on a giant screen, accompanied by a live note-for-note performance of Max Steiner's Academy Award-winning score for your viewing please this summer.

We'll always have Paris, the story of casablanca

In the stifling heat of 1940's Morocco, exiled American Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) runs his bar and tries his best to stay out of the war around him. Being a peculiar city that hosts both refuges from Europe, Nazi and Allied operations, putting a foot wrong in Casablanca can end fatally. When Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), a wanted Czech resistance leader arrives in looking for an out, Rick needn't get involved. That is until he realises who Laszlo's travelling with, Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman). Old wounds are opened, love affairs recalled and action is calling. Will Rick set aside his neutrality and help his old lover, or continue to look for answers at the bottom of a bottle?
