Michael Tilson Thomas conduct the San Francisco Symphony is this special concert which features some of the defining pieces from American musical history. Among the works on the program are Gershwin's American in Paris, the atmospheric orchestral piece which would go on to to inspire the classic movie of the same name, and Ives Pulitzer-winning symphony The Camp Meeting.
