Situated in the heart of San Francisco's Market District. The Warfield started life as a vaudeville theater, named by chain owner Marcus Loew, for his friend, silent movie actor David Warfield. As vaudeville died out, it turned into a movie palace until 1979, it became a concert hall thanks to a fortnight-long run of Bob Dylan concerts! It is now operated by Goldenvoice, who many will know as the founders of both Stagecoach and Coachella music festivals.
