Other Broadway Venues in San Francisco

Originally opened in 1926, the Orpheum was devised by architect B. Marcus Priteca for theater circuit owner Alexander Pantages, with high, white vaulted ceilings reminiscent of a French cathedral. Despite a full renovation during the 1970s, the theater underwent a further remodel to allow full-scale Broadway shows to perform there, and is now owned by theater production company SHN, along with it's sister venue, the Golden Gate Theater.

Matilda - The Musical

Matilda is a story about dreaming big, even though you may just be little. This hit musical is based on Roald Dahl's much-loved book of the same name, which tells the tale of an extraordinary child with hideous parents and an even more horrible headmistress. The production is given the musical treatment by the combined talents of Tim Minchin and the Royal Shakespeare Company - a winning combination earning it four awards at the 2013 Tonys!

Andrew Lloyd Webber's romantic musical is based on Gaston Leroux's gothic novel of life beneath the stage. A secretive opera composer stalks the halls of the Paris Opera House and becomes obsessed with young ingenue Christine, and will stop at nothing to have her. This longstanding Eighties rock opera has received a full-scale update for new audiences without compromising on the glory of the original production.

If/Then

A new musical about the different paths our life can take, If / Then embarks on its first national tour. Written by the Pulitzer Prize winning duo of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, the show launched on Broadway in 2014, and garnered two Tony nominations. Idina Menzel will reprise her role in the production for the first seven stops of the tour!
