Why See Burt Bacharach?

ConcertsVocal & Classic PopJazz & Blues

Rescheduled from November!

The six-time Grammy Award winner and Academy Award recipient has been a master of his profession since the Fifties, winning over a legion of fans as diverse as the music he has brought into the world. Now he joins San Francisco Jazz this June, rescheduled from November. A pianist and composer who has won eight Grammys and three Oscars, he is one of the greatest popular composers of the 20th century. Bacharach is joined by the band and guest vocalists to brighten your spirits with the music you know and love.

Expect the eight-piece orchestra to treat you to Bacharach's classic tunes such as Walk On By, I Say A Little Prayer and Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head. From bursting onto the music scene during the Thriving Fifties, generation after generation have gotten to know his music as soundtracks to their own lives, even if they didn't know he was responsible for their creation at first! He is the epitome of old-school talent, but very much an uber-icon of music against an age of syths and electronica.
