Horrible Acting - Don't Waste your money!, May 09, 2010
reviewer: Anonymous from San Francisco, CA - See all reviews by Anonymous
I honestly would not recommend this show to anyone. It was painful to sit through. We contemplated leaving at intermission but stayed hoping it would improve. The actors were old and they whined the entire time. Honeslty, the only cool part was the movie displayed on the ceiling when the scenes changed. Worth $90? I don't think so!

This was pretty fun..., Aug 10, 2010

Not sure about what happened with the folks that wrote the really down reviews, I felt it was a good show - not great or out of this world show but a solid good. The performers were having fun and it wasn't all that 'gimmicky' as one reviewer stated. Anyway I got the tickets with the 30 buck off coupon and feel like I got a pretty fair deal and a decent nights entertainment. And again: The cast and crowd in my show all were having a good time, and that is enough to say 'yes' for this show.

Temperatures soar inside the theater, May 04, 2010
reviewer: Mo from the east bay from bay area, CA - See all reviews by Mo from the east bay
We went to see the play last Sunday. The theater was so hot inside, we were ready to faint. Couldn't wait for intermission to get some fresh air. The doorman said there was A/C and they were working on it. By the end of the play, little kids were keeled over and adults were frantically fanning themselves. It had to be 85 degrees in there. The play was so-so, sometimes hard to understand the words. There is only about 10 rows of seats, so anywhere you sit (unless behind the sound guys) is a good seat. The special effects of projecting scenes on the top of the tent ceiling was good. The stage scenery was sparse, probably because of the 360 view. I would not recommend this play to anyone. Just bad venue, and average play. Good thing we got $50 tickets.

Predictable, Jun 03, 2010
reviewer: DAS from San Francisco, CA - See all reviews by DAS
I should have know that a 360 production would be gimmicky and unsatisfying. On the positive side, the seating provided a good vantage point and the flying scene, while predictable, was great. The acting, scripting and direction were in a word, horrible. The acting quality was better suited for an amusement park and accordingly I believe the small children in the audience enjoyed the show. If you don't have children, skip this one.

Excellent Fun for Everyone!, Jul 19, 2010
reviewer: Craig from San Francisco - See all reviews by Craig
I have seen Peter Pan twice now, and I love it! The venue itself is unique and treats to highly technical special effects and flying sequences. The venue also affords actors the opportunity to stroll through the crowd and surprise the audience from behind. The acting and production on the whole, including the fun/silly homemade props, is targeted towards children, but more broadly it is meant for adults that want to take a playful ride into their youth with the cast. In my opinion, Wendy captures the heart of the crowd and carries the play through. The play elicited my inner child and I was swept away. Ferry Plaza and the Embarcadero Buildings close by afford easy access to public transit and food. My recommendation: stuffy, serious theater spectators - avoid; fun-loving, easy-goers (especially those with children or wanting to feel like a child again) - recommend.
