| I was pretty much dragged to this musical by my wife as I for one wasn't that interested and for two had a nice cold going. We were late so we missed the first 20 minutes or so; the Orpheon theater needs to have bigger TV's in the waiting area so that people that are a few minutes late can watch what is happening before they can get seated. Feeling pretty misreable I sat through the 1st half (once we were allowed in), and thought it was Okay; the 2nd half was very well put together! I intend to go see it again and be early this time...Teal is amazing!!!! |

| When my son and I saw Wicked in July we had the pleasure of watching Patty Duke play a wonderful Madame Morrible. This back story to ALL of the Oz witches was FANTASTIC. The special effects were unexpected and FANTASTIC. Unfortunately, my experience as a 5'2" person in a balcony seat was not pleasant at all. Lesson learned--buy your tickets earlier so you don't have to sit in the balcony behind taller people!!! |

With a lot of meaningful morals throughout the whole story. Teal and Kendra made their personal marks as Elphaba and Glinda! Great acting and powerful singing where you could literally feel the emotions of these two amazing characters! Just saw it yesterday and highly reccomend it!

The show was spectacular! The theater..., Aug 06, 2009

I absolutely enjoyed Wicked at the Orpheum Theater in San
Francisco on August 5, 2009. The performance was just
incredible. All the actors delivered their roles in a way that
was entertaining and spectacular. I will never look at the
witches of Oz the same ever again! I was especially
surprised how my feelings toward each changed over the
course of the show.
I was seated in the orchestra. The view was great. My only
complaints, thus 4.5 stars, pertain to the Orpheum Theater,
itself. There seems to be a ventilation issue in the room as it
became very stuffy and uncomfortable after the
intermission. The historic seats are too small for the ample-
sized adult of our time. I'm a skinny guy, and felt cramped
in my seat. The plump senior citizen to my right seemed
terribly uncomfortable.
Kudos to Kendra Kassebaum, Teal Wicks and Patty Duke,
whose performances really make the whole show happen.
It's very likely we'll come to see this show again. |

| I'm addicted to this musical and the performance that this cast (both main and understudies) gives. I've already been twice, seen two different starring casts, and I can't wait to go back and see it again! The story is great, the music is wonderful, and Orpheum Theater is the perfect setting for it all. I took my significant other the first time and my coworkers the second and I'm already trying to find others to go for a third showing! I have to tell everyone how great it is! |
